This gate is effective at keeping pets from going up the stairs. It’s simple to install and just as easy to take down and reinstall. It’s not designed for use with children.

I got exactly what I requested. I purchased this gate to prevent my puppy from roaming at night. However, the little guy is quite clever; he figured out he could slip through the gap and soon discovered that he could easily chew through the mesh.

The gate effectively prevents our dog from accessing the basement and the upstairs while we sleep. Although the dog managed to tear one of the straps, repairing it was simple.
